amy has a birthday!

our sweet little amy turned SEVEN!! i cant believe it. here's a bit about her right now.

*she is our little bookworm. she is reading every single book in sight! she completed the kids version of anne of green gables (200+ pages) in 2 days!
*she loves to play - all day long! she loves her friends, her sisters... she just loves to be playing
*she is our happy 'roll with it' girl. she is seriously so laid back. i love that about her

so for her birthday this year we had a family party, and the next day was a friend party. (it was a party weekend, and golly, i am POOPED!) we had been making decorations for a few days. all out of tissue paper. (i think i need tissue paper rehab!)

here are some shots from her family party. she wanted a bbq for dinner - with hot dogs and hamburgers and bacon. then for her dessert she wanted to do sundaes with crunched up chocolate chip cookies in them. one of the one things she really wanted was a new bed frame. hers was on wheels (and on hardwood floors... that meant it rolled around everywhere. not to mention it would rattle too) so we picked up a really cute one at our local furniture store, Knowles. she absolutely LOVED it! we also got her about 20+ books from her favorite book series - fairy magic. (pretty sure she has read at least half in less than a week!)

i wish i had more shots from her friend party. we painted little fairy houses (aka little wooden birdhouses that i got from michaels) and their little party favor bags turned out cute too. but... in all the running around, i just spaced taking photos of it all! boo.
