work, work, work!

we finally closed! and the figures worked out... for the most part. we went in last friday, signed the papers and were able to walk out with the house being ours. yay!! i was so, so relieved. my biggest fear that it was going to fall apart at the end and be delayed again. so now... the work!

right before closing, i had our utilites turned on. and... while inspecting things- i realized that not only did all our faucets need to be replaced, but the tubes under the sinks did too. oh- and we found out that when we did our inspection 2 months ago... they told us our dishwasher was 'slow draining'... try NO DRAINING! ew. dishwasher was broken. so... after closing we had to get a one one of those too. (but im really excited to have a nice dishwasher... and not that peice of crap one!)

so, our goal: to move in less than 2 weeks. the 'to-do' list is long. we are painting the entire house. but we are so excited! :) here are a few shots of the house as it is...
