adventures at di

oh the di. i love it. and hate it all at the same time. i love it when i find good stuff. but i hate it when i go and it becomes a wasted trip. well, today i was driving home from my dr appt and i decided to hop on over to the di. i wasnt really looking for anything specific... and then i found this chair. (insert choir of angels singing, please.)


lovely huh? and whats even better? it was $8. but... as i was looking at it, i started to smell (and you know a pregnant woman's nose) vomit. ew. ew. and more ew. i thought it was coming from the chair. so i started sniffing. i sniffed the chair... wasnt sure, so i sniffed some more. (yes, im sure i looked like a complete idiot). then i didnt smell the vomit anymore. and then i did. well, finally this worker came over and asked if i needed help. i told him i needed a second opinion. yes, i asked the guy to smell the chair. he actually got on his hands and knees (something i sort of cant / refuse to do) and smelled the chair for me. after a clean bill of smell from both the worker and me (he later told me it was sour milk in another part of the store. ewwwww) i bought the chair.

i have big plans for it. its gonna sit in our front room. it will be one of the first things you see when you come in my house. yes. $8 well spent indeed. :)
