Tusher Tunnels...

sometimes i feel like im still getting settled here. there is so much to see and do! we are trying to combine daniel's love of jeeping (note... HIS love of jeeping) and pair it with some hiking or exploring. one of our favorite places is tusher tunnel. its a pretty easy drive, and not too far from home. so... one saturday, that is exactly what we did! daniel's parents were also in town, so we thought that would be the perfect time to show them a bit of moab!

the girls love being out at tusher. they love hiking around all the rocks. ava really, really loved the sand.


here we are at the exit of the tunnel... i cant even say how much i love this picture of all of us. im pretty sure it needs to be on a canvas somewhere in my house.

and.... on the way home.... we got a flat tire. it was kind of funny. we were in such soft sand, our regular jack didnt work. so enter... my dad. he brought us some boards and a bigger jack. still... it didnt work. THEN... we had to run home and get the jeep and the high lift jack and lift the back end of my car up. when we got home, i thought no biggie- we can just get the tire repaired. nope. $500 later... we have two nice new tires. *sigh* i can sure think of a better way to spend $500. ;)
